Accessibility (ADA)
Coachella welcomes attendees with disabilities. We are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure attendees have access to all festival goods and services, regardless of ability.
Eligibility
It is not acceptable to fake or exaggerate a disability to gain access to accommodations. Our ADA department has finite resources and needs to focus these resources on helping those who legitimately require assistance.
ADA Wristband
Attendees wishing to utilize some of the accessibility services at Coachella will be required to wear an ADA Wristband.
- ADA Wristbands are good for the entire Coachella weekend.
- DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival.
- One (1) ADA Companion Wristband will be issued per disabled patron.
- Additional Wristbands may be issued for families with young children.
- If a disabled attendee wants to switch his/her companion, a new ADA Companion Wristband can be exchanged for the old wristband at the Access Center.
Access Center
ADA Access Centers are conveniently located throughout the festival to support and address the needs of all attendees with accessibility needs.

Thursday 9am-10 (Camping only)
Friday-Saturday 10:30am-2am
Sunday 10:30am-1am
Wheelchairs
We encourage all patrons to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters.
Pathways
The Venue is fully navigable for people with mobility disabilities, including accessible pathways connected throughout the Venue.
- Accessible Pathways include parking, entrances, stages, vendors and all other activity areas.
- All VIP areas are accessible.
- For more information about Accessible Pathways, please inquire at the Access Center.
Charging
If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair, you may do so at the Access Center.
- Bring all cords and accessories needed to charge your devices.
- Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.
- We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.
Parking
Separate ADA Parking (Lot 14B) will be available for attendees with valid Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate, as well as the applicable proof that it belongs to them.
Directions
From the I-10 Freeway (or Highway 111):
- Exit at Monroe St. and travel South
- Right on Ave 52
- Right on Clinton
- Follow signs to LOT 14B ADA.
Verifications
To utilize ADA Parking, you must have:
- Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.
- DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license, and corresponding ID.
- Documentation will be verified by law enforcement.
- The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued in the vehicle.
- Festival Wristbands worn by all individuals in the vehicle.
It is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required credentials or to fraudulently use credentials in order to gain access to Accessible Parking.
Camping
Preferred camping locations are available for those with accessibility needs. Reserve an ADA Camping Spot in advance.
Location
- ADA Camping is situated near the Venue entrance and ADA Parking.
- Access to mobility pathways, shuttles, accessible restrooms, and accessible showers.
Availability
- Accessible camping spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Registering helps us prepare for your group and plan our accessible camping area.
- To reserve an ADA camping spot, please fill out this form.
- Limited spots will be available to unregistered campers onsite, but are not guaranteed.
Verifications
To utilize ADA Camping, you must have:
- Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.
- DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license, and corresponding ID.
- The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued to must be present at check-in to Camping.
Viewing Areas
Elevated platforms for ADA attendees and companions who may need to see above the crowd. ADA Wristband from the Access Center required.
Rules
- Companions may be asked to stand if capacity is reached.
- Viewing Areas are non-smoking.
- Attendees are not allowed to save spots.
- If an attendee is not-present for over an hour, their area will be given to another disabled guest.
Real Time Captioning
We are proud to provide real-time captioning for selected acts on the Coachella Stage. The following acts will have captioning provided:
- Friday: Childish Gambino, Janelle Monae, The 1975
- Saturday: Tame Impala, Weezer, J Balwin
- Sunday: Ariana Grande, Khalid, Zedd
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted throughout the festival.
Rules
- NO emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals.
- Pets are not allowed and will be turned away.
- Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.
- Service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered.
- If these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls.
- Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area.
- Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.
- All animals should have legally required vaccinations (which may need to be verified).
Effective Communication
Interpreters
- American Sign Language interpreters will be available for select performances.
- To request a performance, contact us at effectivecommunication@accessiblefestivals.com.
- Please make requests no later than 30 days before the event to allow for sufficient processing time.

Requests for Closed Captioning, Braille/Large Font Print, Guided Tours or other forms of Effective Communication, please contact us at effectivecommunication@accessiblefestivals.com.
Assisted Listening
Assisted Listening Device Systems are available for those with hearing impairments. For more information, please contact ada@coachella.com or visit any of the Access Centers.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle service to Entrance/Exits available for our disabled attendees who need it.
- ADA Wristband issued by the Access Center is required to utilize this service.
- Pick-up locations include the Access Centers, Lobby, Rideshare (Lot 1C), ADA Parking (Lot 14B) and ADA Camping.
- Wait times may be as long as 40 minutes due to heavy volume.
- Shuttles also available for transport to ADA showers from ADA Camping.
uberASSIST/WAV
uberASSIST/WAV services will be available in Rideshare (Lot 1C).
ATMs & Concessions
All ATMs and concessions are fully accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required, please confer with a festival staff member.
Medical
Fully-equipped medical sites staffed by trained personnel are located throughout the festival to manage any issue. Check the Festival Maps and Mobile App for exact locations.
Dietary Needs
Coachella will have food vendors that provide gluten-free dietary options. For those with special dietary needs beyond the festival food service, please contact us at ada@coachella.com for further information.
Additional Service Requests
Goldenvoice will consider any request by an attendee with a disability for reasonable modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will permit the attendee equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to evaluate and fulfill the request.
